For many years, David has been organising a Christmas Day Dinner for those who would find themselves on their own on Christmas Day.
Christmas time usually conjures up joyful images of family and friends celebrating, exchanging gifts, excited chatter and delicious food. For some people however it can be a dreaded, sad and lonely time.
David organises this lunch on Christmas Day, and it is aimed at someone who is vulnerable to loneliness, for example a person of an older age who may have few or no family or friends around.
Guests arrive for a freshly cooked meal and then Father Christmas Makes an appearance to give out presents before they are entertained by our very own Rachel Best.
Since Covid we now also deliver meals, and now we cook well over 100 meals on Christmas Day. David feels very lucky to have lots of volunteers to help him
